Proven leader in developing increased distribution capacity in the insurance industry.

Former Worldwide Vice-President of AIG’s International General Insurance Company’s Voluntary Employee Benefits Division. Bill successfully developed a full service Worksite Marketing Distribution line of business with full P&L responsibilities. His major accomplishments include the creation of new local distribution operations in over 30 different countries. This included the creation of a dedicated 2 tier international distribution sales force that numbered over 400 field personnel.

Prior to that, Bill Velto was President and CEO of The Worksite Exchange Inc. (WEX). WEX is a national worksite marketing organization that integrates markets, distribution, products, administration and sales/enrollment expertise in a formalized process that brings increased capacity to distribution companies and additional distribution to insurance carriers and service providers.

Bill’s prior experiences include various distribution and product line Executive positions with MetLife and Allstate where his responsibilities included:

• The development of alternate distribution channels.
• Vice President of Worksite Marketing.
• Vice President and officer in charge for all permanent life insurance sold at the workplace.

Bill was a past president of the Mass Marketing Insurance Institute and is currently a member of LIMRA’s Worksite Marketing Advisory Committee. In addition, he has served on the Insurance Carriers’ Voluntary Employee Benefit Board and as Chairperson for the Northeast Mass Marketing Directors Study Group.
